Stonewall Grist Mill
Covered bridge at Meems Bottoms, near Mount Jackson, Virginia. The original bridge predates the Civil War and was burned by Stonewall Jackson. It was rebuilt and subsequently washed away during a major flood in 1870 that reportedly destroyed all the bridges over the Shenandoah. The present bridge was built in 1893 and was restored in 1978 after a fire in 1976. BW6
